Can you believe it? It’s December already, and what a year it’s been.

The first TR Tuesday webinar for 2025 back in February was a Stump the Chumps, so it’s only fitting we close this year’s webinar series with another one.

🥰 Thanks heaps to our partner the CMTO for making the sessions and recordings possible.

This Technorama Tuesday, join the Stump-The-Chumps panelists Josh Pearson, Stephen Wilkinson, Chris Deacon and Ben Menaglio as they attempt to answer your trickiest tech questions.
They might agree or disagree, but you’ll certainly get the voice of experience.

Meet the Panelists

    • Josh Pearson: President of Technorama..  holds a black belt in answering tricky questions. Josh has been involved in radio since 2010; significantly at JOY 94.9 in Melbourne as Operations Manager from 2012-2018. Along the way he has learnt how to provide assistance to other stations with their tech mishaps. Josh’s background extends more to Information Systems than Broadcast Engineering, but he isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and learn new skills. Coming from a corporate IT environment and having run his own consulting firm, he brings a diverse range of skills to assist with strategy development and future planning. Josh is a broadcast engineer par excellence, and he knows dangerous amounts about AM, FM, Studio and IT technologies.
    • Stephen Wilkinson: Technical Operations Manager at Hope Media, and Vice-president of Technorama. His radio career began in the early 1990s at 2CBA (now Hope Media) in Sydney. Stephen now leads a team providing technical support to stations across Sydney, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. A long-standing contributor to Technorama, he is widely respected for his expertise and commitment to advancing technical excellence in community broadcasting.
    • Chris Deacon: Technology Manager at ArtSound FM and 1CMS (Canberra Multicultural Service), and a Technorama committee member. With over 40 years’ experience in communications, Chris has worked as a presenter, broadcast engineer, recording engineer and studio designer. He was a founder of ArtSound and led the design and construction of its studios and acclaimed recording facility. Awarded the Order of Australia in 2009 for service to community radio, Chris continues to mentor stations nationwide and contributes as a CBF grants assessor. He lives in Canberra and plays a mean boogie-woogie.
    • Ben Menaglio: an electronic and communications engineer at B-Tech, bringing decades of experience delivering reliable technical solutions across broadcasting, agriculture and mining. Known for his passion for quality systems, Ben now supports the WA Hub and assists community radio stations across the South West. When not in his workshop, writing code or supporting stations, he enjoys following NASA missions and playing guitar.

Just like talk-back radio: they will take your calls without a safety net, and go from there. So prep up some ideas and come along to join the chat.
